Why Hufu Is Called Abundant Oxygen Kingdom?

The landforms in Hufu mainly are hills typical of the south of the Yangtze River. There are extensive bamboo forests covering tens of thousands of mu in the hills. The forests are rich in negative oxygen ions with bamboos purifying the air. Visitors who come here for the first time always seem to get drunk on oxygen because of inhaling too much oxygen, so this place is called abundant oxygen kingdom. In the sea of bamboos, it’s fairly comfortable to experience the original and natural lifestyle. Su Dongpo, a great poet in the Song Dynasty, who once sojourned here, left a famous poem, “ I will purchase a piece of land in Yangxian (now Hufu) to spend my rest life here for the pleasant scenery enchants me.”
