On March 31st, 2018, the CROWNE PLAZA WUXI CITY CENTER was open in the new name, and the logos of the building were lightened for the first time, welcoming guests from all over the world. It has formally transformed from Kempinski Hotel run by the Kempinski Hoteliers, which opened in 2007 and was listed as a five-star hotel in 2010, into Crowne Plaza Hotel run by the world-leading InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). Liu Yonghong, the deputy director general of the municipal tourism administration, attended the opening ceremony.

The CROWNE PLAZA WUXI CITY CENTER, located in the city center with convenient transportation, has 400 guest rooms, 11 meeting rooms and perfect facilities, whose aim is to become an outstanding hotel combining business, relaxation and family. After joining the IHG, it will provide more interesting tour experience for guests through strong support from IHG and substantial activities with rewards.

It’s reported that IHG currently owns 83 hotels which are open, and 37 hotels under construction in China. The CROWNE PLAZA WUXI CITY CENTER is the second Crowne Plaza Hotel in Wuxi. Besides, the INTERCONTINENTAL WUXI and HUALUXE WUXI TAIHU both belong to IHG.
