Taoyuan village, or Peach Orchard village, in Yangshan town, Huishan district, Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, was recently added to the list of national rural tourism villages, according to the official website of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The village boasts the best natural environment, most profound culture, and largest variety of entertainment facilities in Yangshan Resort.

Tourists can relax, breath in the fresh air, admire scenic views, and taste delicacies made with ingredients straight from the farm.

Taoyuan is renowned for its delicious juicy peaches, beautiful peach blossoms, and idyllic scenery. It has transitioned from a juicy peach-growing village to a village with a booming tourism industry featuring juicy peaches.

In addition, the village also produces lotus flowers and water dropworts.

While there's a much less festive atmosphere for Chinese New Year, Taoyuan villagers still value the traditional customs of the festival, including making paper-cuts for windows and qingtuan, or sweet green rice balls.
