A total of 162 cultural relics from the red revolutionary years in Wuxi, Jiangsu province were designated provincial relics, local media reported on April 26.

The listed cultural relics include 32 historical locations and 130 cultural collectiosn, such as documents and other historical items.

The 32 historical locations include three State-level protection units: the Former Residence of Qin Bangxian, the site of Huangshan Fortress, and the site of the Kuomintang's Former Jiangyin Fortress Headquarters, 10 provincial-level protection units such as the site of Xijin Park, the site of Anyang Academy, and the site of the Sixth Division of the New Fourth Army, and 19 municipal-level sites, such as Wuxi Normal University Bell Tower, Shuzhi Science Museum, and the site of Chen Yi's lecture.

Among the 130 cultural collections from the red revolutionary years in Wuxi, 122 have been stored in the Wuxi Museum for preservation and display, including the "Economic Survey of Farmers and Landlords in Wuxi, Jiangsu" released in 1919.

A national first-class cultural relic, the document was written by Chen Hansheng, a pioneer in China's economic research and a devoted educator and creative thinker. Chen was born in Wuxi and created the survey when he organized a rural economic survey in his hometown.
