Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province hosted culture and tourism investment promotion meetings in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, and Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, on Dec 8 and 9, respectively.

The city displayed its abundant Jiangnan-style cultural and tourism attractions and creative intangible cultural heritage items at the meetings.

Immersive experience zones for Huishan tea parties, the Nianhua Bay scenic area, and Donglin Academy were featured, while Wuxi national intangible cultural heritage items, including Huishan clay figurines, purple clay teapots, Wuxi embroidery, and bamboo carving, were also on display.

Participants also learned about the most popular travel routes in Wuxi according to tourism enthusiasts and the city's latest promotional video Meeting Wuxi.

Jiang Yunjie, director of the Wuxi municipal bureau of culture, broadcasting, and tourism, introduced Wuxi and invited residents of the two cities to visit Wuxi via video.

Both Xie Hong from the Xi'an municipal bureau of culture and tourism and Sun Bao'an from the Chengdu municipal bureau of culture, broadcasting, and tourism expressed a desire to enhance cultural and tourism cooperation with Wuxi at the promotional meetings.

Wuxi is well-connected with Xi'an and Chengdu, with direct flights and high-speed railways to both of the cities, which is expected to help attract more tourists.

Since November, Wuxi has hosted such promotional meetings in six cities, including Beijing and Hangzhou, to showcase the charm of Wuxi life and attract more tourists.
