Wuxi offers a cultural feast over weekend

Wuxi, a city in Jiangsu province, will offer a cultural feast over the following three days to celebrate China's Cultural and Natural Heritage Day, which falls on June 8 this year.
The celebrations will be unveiled in Huishan Ancient Town on June 8, when a cultural bazaar will be held and local food and intangible cultural heritage items will be on offer.

Following the launch ceremony, 256 activities, including bazaars and performances, will be held around the city to showcase and promote local intangible cultural heritage items.
The city's intangible cultural heritage items will also be showcased via livestreams, on subway cars, and at subway stations. Masters of its intangible cultural heritage items will also be invited to explain their crafts.

Wuxi is currently home to 230 intangible cultural heritage items, including 11 at the national level and 51 at the provincial level.
