Wuxi charms Jingdezhen with its artworks

The artworks created by young artists in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, were showcased at the Jingdezhen Art Museum in Jiangxi province on Oct 17, marking the start of the display of Wuxi's intangible cultural heritage in the province.
The 54 artworks include traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings, calligraphy works, woodblock paintings, and porcelain paintings.

Some of Wuxi's national intangible cultural heritage items, such as Huishan clay figurines, Wuxi fine embroidery, and Liuqing bamboo carving, were also on display.
On Oct 15, Guo Ruiqing and Tian Yunlong, artists from the Wuxi Art Museum, delivered speeches at the Jingdezhen Art Museum.

Guo elaborated on the history and development of Chinese landscape painting in a straightforward and accessible manner. By interpreting classic landscape paintings one by one, he enabled the audience to appreciate the philosophical thoughts and aesthetic charm embedded in Chinese landscape paintings.
Tian focused on the unique art form of woodblock painting, introducing the production techniques, development history, and different styles. He also demonstrated the process of printmaking on-site, helping the audience better understand the art form.
This exhibition is organized by the Wuxi and Jingdezhen municipal bureaus of culture, broadcasting, television, and tourism, and hosted by the Wuxi Art Museum and the Jingdezhen Art Museum.
