The plane designs featuring the intangible cultural heritage product showcased at the Wuxi venue of the Spring Festival Gala have recently been revealed.

These designs are inspired by the Huishan clay figurines Ah Fu and Ah Xi, now represented as Yi Chang Fu and Si You Xi.

Both figures don persimmon-shaped hats and attire adorned with ruyi patterns, a decorative scepter with an S-shaped handle resembling a lingzhi mushroom. A gentle light touch at the shoe tip signifies the auspicious onset of blessings from all directions, each step paving the way on a golden path of prosperity.

Huishan clay figurines are colored clay sculptures produced in Huishan, Wuxi, and have a history of over 600 years. In 2006, Huishan clay figurines were included in the first batch of the national intangible cultural heritage list.

The iconic piece of Huishan clay figurines, Da A Fu, radiates a countenance brimming with blessings and charm. Renowned for their distinctive artistic flair, lively folk hues, and the evocative ambiance of Jiangnan, Huishan clay figurines have become a shining cultural beacon for Wuxi.

In recent times, the handicrafts have ventured into innovative realms, introducing diverse creations that infuse a contemporary touch, thereby enhancing the city's cultural allure.

The Huishan Clay Figurine Cultural Art Festival took place in Wuxi in 2023, featuring the premiere of the inaugural Huishan clay figurine microfilm, Sculpture Stories, which depicted the crafting process and exquisite artistry behind Huishan clay figurines.

Building upon the foundation of the original Huishan clay figurine brand and emphasizing Wuxi's urban culture, the new IP image NANIMOMO has garnered increasing recognition. Its various offshoots, including coffee shops, surprise boxes, and cultural merchandise, have gained popularity among the younger generation.
