Wuxi receives over 15m tourists during Spring Festival holiday

Wuxi in Jiangsu province welcomed over 15.56 million tourists and generated more than 15.98 billion yuan ($2.19 billion) in revenue during the eight-day Spring Festival holiday, which concluded on Feb 4, both number ranking at the provincial forefront.
The figures represent increases of 34.6 percent and 27 percent, respectively, compared to 2024.
The total number of visitors to the city's 65 registered museums during the holiday reached 819,334, a new record high and the second most in Jiangsu.
This year's Spring Festival was a particularly exciting time for the people of Wuxi, as the sub-venue of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala was located in the city for the first time. Despite being just seven minutes long, the performance at the Wuxi sub-venue amazed the world.

The performance may be over, but the joy it brought is still here, with the beauty of Wuxi spreading far and wide. Desire to visit the city has surged, and countless tourists are pouring in.
The Qingming Bridge Historical and Cultural Block, where the main stage of the gala sub-venue is located, received 1.56 million visitors during the holiday, an increase of 28.06 percent compared to the previous year.
From the first day of the Chinese New Year to the seventh, Huishan Ancient Town received 579,900 visitors, up 26.7 percent from the previous year.
During the holiday, Wuxi offered 30,000 Chinese New Year gift packages for out-of-town tourists and distributed 20,000 consumption gift packages to foreign tourists.
