Wuxi's May Day holiday joy at its peak

Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province was filled with joyful crowds during this year's five-day May Day holiday, which ended on May 5.
The Huishan Yingyueli Block officially opened on April 30, and over the following holiday it became a sensation, even appearing on CCTV. On the first day of the holiday, it welcomed over 120,000 visitors.
The Xishui Market and the Liangxiao night market offered various activities over the course of six consecutive days, creating much excitement.

Before the May Day holiday, the Wuxi municipal bureau of culture, broadcasting, television, and tourism organized more than 170 holiday-themed activities, focusing on catering, accommodation, transportation, shopping, and entertainment. Thanks to food promotions, ticket discounts, and accommodation deals, visitors to the city left satisfied.
Various scenic spots in Wuxi showcased their unique attractions. The Wuxi Zoo's Panda Paradise had long queues every day, consisting of both local residents and out-of-town visitors eager to see the adorable pandas. The cruise tour at Yuantouzhu and the performances and immersive interactions at the Three Kingdoms and Water Margin Theme Park were popular as well, while scenic areas like Plum Garden, Flower Planet, and Shangtian Town attracted many tourists with blooming flowers such as azaleas, roses, and wisteria.

During the holiday, cultural facilities in Wuxi extended their opening hours, and the city's cultural departments prepared many cultural programs, including various art exhibitions and activities.
Exhibitions such as the Wuxi Museum's collection of fine cultural relics, the Alphonse Mucha art exhibition, the Wuxi Art Museum's exhibition of woodblock paintings by young artists, as well as the intangible cultural heritage experience activities at the Wuxi Museum, all immersed children in the world of traditional culture.
