The Wuxi Chinese Orchestra staged a heartwarming concert at the Erquan Yingyue Square in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on Dec 31, 2025 to welcome the New Year.

It offered Wuxi citizens an artistic feast on the night of bidding farewell to the old year and welcoming the new one.

The orchestra carefully selected a number of classic and newly created pieces, allowing the audience to enjoy high-quality Chinese music for free and experience the contemporary charm of traditional culture through an outdoor performance.

During the concert, the orchestra presented the audience with several moving pieces. These included classic folk songs such as Dance of the Golden Snake and Blooming Flowers and Full Moon, which exude a festive atmosphere, as well as iconic television and film melodies like The Legend of the Condor Heroes and Havoc in Heaven, which carry the memories of many Chinese people. There were also beautiful compositions like Picturesque Jiangnan and Beautiful Scenery of Wuxi, depicting the landscape of Jiangnan and the charm of Wuxi.

As the concert reached its climax, the orchestra played a brilliant piece to welcome the New Year, counting down with the entire audience to greet the arrival of 2026. Music, applause, and cheers intertwined, immersing Erquan Yingyue Square in an atmosphere of joy, warmth, and hope.
