More than 500 varieties of chrysanthemums are on display at a chrysanthemum exhibition in Huishan Ancient Town, as Wuxi's scenic attractions reach peak season for autumn flower viewing. The exhibition is scheduled to run until Nov 26.

At Huishan Ancient Town, this year's exhibition features a wide range of varieties and artistic arrangements, including towering multi-flowered displays, cascading chrysanthemums and tree-shaped designs. The exhibition spans three areas — the historic district, Xihui Scenic Area and cultural heritage sites — with more than 10 viewing spots connected by dedicated walking routes.

This year's layout makes greater use of the town's traditional gardens and historic architecture. Rather than relying on isolated display platforms, cascading flowers line both sides of the central avenue, creating an immersive floral corridor. The exhibition has also undergone a second round of flower replacement, introducing more varieties and vibrant colors.

Visitors can also sample seasonal treats such as chrysanthemum tea, specialty drinks and pastries, or browse flower-themed souvenirs.

Meanwhile, Flower Planet Scenic Area is welcoming visitors with tens of thousands of chrysanthemums spread across its rolling slopes and pathways. Rare pompon chrysanthemums, shaped like colorful flower balls, are among this autumn's highlights. The display is expected to last about a month.

At Nianhuawan Bay, a sea of golden-yellow sulfur cosmos is also at its best. The flowers are expected to remain in bloom until mid-November, offering another seasonal attraction for visitors to Wuxi.
