A jogging route in Hudai town, Binhu district was recently honored as one of the most scenic jogging routes in Jiangsu province at the closing ceremony of the Jiangsu national fitness games held in the provincial capital of Nanjing.

The route, known as Zhuangyuan (the top scorer in ancient Chinese imperial examinations) ancient road, starts at the town's People's Park and stretches 10 kilometers across the southwestern part of the town all the way to Hushan reservoir, featuring dense woods, orchards and tea gardens along the way.

It received its name for being the hometown of Jiang Chongzhen, the first Zhuangyuan in Wuxi, and served as a major thoroughfare in ancient times.

The road has become a popular leisure destination for locals and runners, and the People's Park has attracted thousands of visitors with its various sports facilities for basketball, table tennis, badminton, square dancing and more.
