The 2022 China City Travel Development Forum was held in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, on Nov 24.

Entitled "Tourist Cities and City Travel", the forum is aimed at promoting the application of theoretical research on the high-quality development of the tourism industry.

The National Tourist Satisfaction Report (2012-2022) was published at the opening ceremony of the forum. After reviewing the satisfaction of tourists around the country, the report states that the overall tourist satisfaction index has experienced a significant increase.

Chongqing, Hangzhou, Qingdao, Suzhou, Xiamen, Beijing, Wuxi and other cities were listed among the top 20 tourist cities in China.

The Wuxi Travel Index Report 2022 was also released at the event. The report analyzed the culture and tourism markets in Wuxi based on the city's reputation, vitality, services, entertainment facilities and tourist satisfaction.

Representatives from renowned culture and tourism enterprises, including Tencent Interactive Entertainment and Jingyu Lvmama Group, discussed topics such as management innovation at tourist destinations via digital means and new city tour consumption at the forum.

Wuxi in recent years has prioritized the development of the tourism industry and ramped up efforts to become an influential tourist city in China revolving around Wu culture and unique Jiangnan landscapes.

The city has also explored the transformation of the entire city into a scenic area and integrating travel into the daily lives of local residents.
