For Wuxi natives, Chong'an Temple is not just an attraction; it also carries their childhood memories and happiness so that each renovation to the temple naturally captures their attention.

The latest renovations to Chong'an Temple Pedestrian Street have been completed and will open to the public in late September.

Located in the downtown area of Wuxi, Chong'an Temple Pedestrian Street boasts a strong commercial atmosphere, numerous cultural relics, and a unique urban landscape.

According to the design director Yang Zanying, the renovation project values traditional culture and urban spirit while stimulating the vitality of the commercial street.

They used modern materials and technologies to upgrade the architecture and preserve the original layout of the pedestrian street, realizing harmonious coexistence with the surrounding environment, said Yang.

The pedestrian street also connects with the Urban Garden, the underground space of the Yunfu Building and Sanyan Square Station of subway line 1.

The first outlet of some popular brands in Wuxi and stylish stores will be brought to the commercial street. For example, Choc Choco, an Australian chocolate museum, will open its first Jiangsu outlet at the pedestrian street as soon as its decorations are completed.
