The winding trail of Huishan Mountain National Forest Park has recently undergone an upgrade, blending nature, art, and culture to create an unforgettable hiking experience.

From the reuse of wood remnants left by typhoons to stone carvings of poems by Su Shi (1037-1101), this place serves not only as the city's "green lung" but also as an open-air natural classroom.

As visitors climb along the trail, they will reach a newly constructed 360° viewing platform that offers a magnificent view. From this observation point, visitors are afforded a panoramic view of the mist-laden waves of Taihu Lake and the adjacent city skyline. In addition, there lies a rock carving that prominently features Su's poem, which depicts the magnificence of his ascent of Huishan Mountain and the sweeping vistas of Taihu Lake that accompany it.

The trail has also been magically transformed, with whimsical cartoon oil paintings playing hide and seek with hikers among the trees from the entrance to the viewing platform.

The elegance of Huishan Mountain, as described by Su Shi, remains vibrant today. This weekend, visit the forest park to explore poetry and experience the healing power of nature and culture.
