Yangxian Ecotourism Resort in Yixing, a county-level city in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, emerged as the most visited national-level tourism resort during the Qingming Festival holiday from April 4 to 6, according to the Technology Innovation Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Over the holiday, Yangxian transformed into a "springtime utopia" for countless visitors. Its picturesque landscapes captured the essence of Jiangnan in spring, with the mountainous regions of southern Yixing perfectly embodying Jiangnan's elegance and poetic charm.

The area was vibrant with lush bamboo forests, returning birds, and blooming flowers. Visitors could explore caves, chase the winds through tea fields and relish the freedom of nature. In Yangxian, there's no need to seek out scenery because beauty is omnipresent.

The groundwork for this springtime attraction was laid early. In March, Yangxian, renowned for its zisha (purple clay) teapots and Yangxian tea, embarked on a promotional tour in Shanghai, Wuxi and Nanjing. This artistic and cultural tourism campaign captivated many, embedding the name "Yangxian" in the hearts of tourists from these cities.

Here, every journey offers its own unique beauty. Families with children discover whimsical moments amid the mountains and waters, stepping into a springtime fairy tale. Young adventurers indulge in wild camping and cycling through the forests, reveling in nature's embrace. Meanwhile, seniors enjoy strolls through ancient towns and cultural walks, savoring the slow, relaxed pace of life.
