The districts and county-level cities in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, unveiled a diverse summer lineup in the first week of July, mixing water sports, traditional music, night markets, and literary gatherings.

In Jiangyin, the Jiangyin Grand Theatre hosted provincial touring performances while doubling as a broadcast venue for a local soccer match, and a new youth traditional orchestra held its inaugural concert.

Yixing launched a 1.2‑kilometer Amazon-style jungle rafting course through bamboo forests at its Bamboo Sea Scenic Area, as well as a national book design exhibition at the Ceramic Pages bookstore.

Liangxi district drew over 360 competitors to a national stand‑up paddleboard race on the Grand Canal, paired with a lifestyle riverside market featuring artisans and performances.

Xishan district held its annual community arts gala and kicked off a summer reading carnival in Xiedaidang village, blending local heritage with book promotions.

In Huishan, Wuxi opera productions were streamed online from the district's heritage center, while a lotus‑themed night market at Tangping Lake Wetland Park became a popular evening attraction.

Binhu district hosted poet Wang Jibing for a talk on his new collection. The local Three Kingdoms and Water Margin Theme Park launched a summer night event with light shows, boat cruises, and firework displays running through August.

Finally, Xinwu district presented a special erhu concert by the city's Wuxi Chinese Orchestra and nearly 1,000 residents joined a mass sing‑along at the district's Wuxi Symphony Hall, closing out the week with a civic musical moment.
